This route has a moderate slope, making it less difficult to climb. It is the most popular way up Mountain Kilimanjaro, also, it is the only route with huts, having dormitory and simple dining rooms..

day 1 - Arrive in Arusha Kilimanjaro Airport.
We'll meet for an introductory briefing upon our arrival in Arusha, before transferring to the hotel in Moshi or Marangu.

day 2 - Kilimanjaro Climb - to Mandara Hut.
Breakfast, drive from your hotel to Marangu gate, registration, payments of fees and final parking. Start climbing through dense semi-tropical to the first hut- Mandara hut (9,000ft). Dinner and an overnight stay at Mandara hut.

day 3 - Kilimanjaro Climb - Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut.
Breakfast, ascend through the alpine meadow, and grassland and moorland to Horombo hut (12,000ft). Both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks can be viewed easily on the way. Dinner and an overnight stay at Horombo hut.

day 4 - Kilimanjaro Climb - Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut.
Breakfast, further ascending to Kibo hut (15,000ft). Spectacular mountain vegetation like giant cactus, groundswell and lobelia appear on the way. Dinner and an overnight stay at Kibo hut.

day 5 - Kilimanjaro Climb - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak.
midnight, proceed to the summit through Gilman's point (18,640ft). It is about 5-6hours and 1-2 hours from Kibo hut to Gilman's point and from Gilman's point to Uhuru Peak (19,340ft) respectively. Thus reaching the peak in the early morning of the fifth day and start descending after picture taking on the top to Horombo hut for diner and an overnight after a short break at Kibo hut.

day 6 - Kilimanjaro Climb - Kibo Hut to Marangu Gate - Hotel in Arusha
Breakfast, Descend from Horombo hut to Marangu gate. The waiting car will take you to our hotel in Marangu, Moshi or Arusha.

Alternatively
One may choose 7days / 6nights, with an extra day for acclimatization at Horombo hut, which will increase your chance to reach the top.

Trekking - Machame Route - 6 Nights / 7 Days.

day 1 - Arusha or Moshi
Arrival in Kilimanjaro Airport – transfer to Hotels in Moshi or Arusha

day 2 - Kilimanjaro, Machame Hut
Transfer to Gate at Machame. From here trek through the lush forest to Machame Hut(10,000 ft. / 3000m). Camp overnight

day 3 - Kilimanjaro, Shira Hut
Leaving the forest, the path follows a steep ridge, passing through heather and open moorlands, and crossing a large gorge to Reach Shira Hut(12,500 ft. / 3800m). Camp Overnight .

day 4 - Kilimanjaro, Barranco Hut
Turn Eastwards and continue ascending through the dry landscape before dropping again to reach Barranco Hut (13,000 ft. / 3900 m). Camp Overnight

day 5 - Kilimanjaro, Barafu Hut
The path climbs up steeply out of the Barranco Valley , crosses the Karanga valley, then turns north to reach Barafu Hut 15500ft. /4600m.). Camp overnight.

day 6 - Kilimanjaro, Mweka Hut
A long day and an early start to reach the crater rim at Stella Point in time for sunrise. Then to Uhuru Peak (19340ft. /5896m). The highest Point in Africa . Afterwards descend to Gillman's Point and on down to Mweka Hut(10300ft . / 3100m). Camp overnight.

day 7 - Arusha, Moshi
Descend to Mweka park gate, from where you are transferred back to you Hotel in Moshi or Arusha, overnight.

day 8 - tranfer to Safari
End of Tour or transfer to other safari .


Trekking - Rongai Route - 6 Nights / 7 Days.

day 2 - Kilimanjaro, Caves
Transfer from hotel to the National Park Gate at Rongai. Trek through the forest for 2 to 3 hours to reach the 1st Cave at 5750ft/1800m). Camp Overnight .

day 3 - Kilimanjaro, Caves
Trekking for 6 to 7 hours, passing 2nd cave to arrive at 3rd cave at 12,000ft/3800m.) Camp overnight

day 4 - Kilimanjaro, Kibo Hut
Continue to ascend to Kibo hut, at 15,000ft/ 4700m taking 3 to 4 hours. Camp overnight.

day 5 - Kilimanjaro, decend to Horombo Hut
An early star for the summit on steep and heavy scree up to Gilman’s point at 18640ft . / 5681m. On crater rim to arrive in time for sunrise. Continue on to Uhuru Peak the highest point in Africa at 19340ft/5896m. Descend to Horombo Hut for overnight taking 7 ton 8 hours ascent and 4 to 7 hours descent.

day 6 - Marangu or Moshi
Descend to Marangu Gate from where you are transferred to your hotel for the night

day 7 - Marangu, Moshi or Arusha - Safari Transfer
End of Tour or transfer to other safari.

NOTE: This route is quick and direct way to the summit of Kilimanjaro, but is very steep and strenuous and only recommended for trekkers who are already well acclimatized.
